MAC 3D Glitter Collection for Summer 2014

M.A.C. launched 7 new shades of their 3D Glitter Collection and I'm in luuuuvvvvv! I've always loved their glitters & pigments. I didn't get to buy them the last time since they sold out so quickly. They retail for €14. So when the launched these new shades I went to the store and bought two of these amazing glitters.

Beauty Review: Jessup, MAC, Ebay, The Body Shop, Sleek, Zara

Hey loves! I'm back with a show and tell of products I've recently bought. Altough I love most of them there are some I'm not so happy about. Well one to be exact. 

It's been a month since my knee surgery. It was hard for me to get out of the house so what do you think I've been doing all the time besides watching tv, eat, sleep and see my physical therapist? Online shopping offcourse!! 

I've done alot of shopping on Ebay,www.preciousaboutmakeup.com, www.Zara.com, www.kikocosmetics.be. 

On Kiko I ordered 7 lip pencils, 1 eyeshadow & 1 lipgloss. 

 These are the Ultra Glossy Lip Pencils by Kiko Cosmetics. As the name says these pencils have a glossy finish. There's just enough pigment, so you can definately build the colour up so that you can get it as bright as you'd like. They're easy to apply and really smooth. As you can see I've made some watches for you. so the colours (from left to right) are: Purple Orchid, Amaranth, Hot Pink, Daphne Rose, Orange, Chocolate & Golden Beige. I also bought a lipgloss called Clear Rose. All of the lip pencils were on sale for €1,90 each and the gloss was €3,50. 

Also from Kiko Cosmetics is this Water Eyshadow in the colour 208 Light Gold. I was first excited about this eyeshadow because people were saying that this was a dupe of the Wisper Of Guilt highlighter by Mac Cosmetics. Since I never had the chance to buy the one from Mac I was thrilled to hear that this was a dupe. I had concidered buying the Mac highlighter from ebay but the sellers were asking for ridiculous prices. This eyeshadow was €8,90, which is cheaper then most Mac products. It's a great highlight for every skintone. It applies very smoothly, it's like a shimmery gold/champagne colour. The design reminds me of the Alluring Aquatic Collection from Mac. 

So my experience with Kiko Cosmetics was great. The shipping was super fast and you get free delivery for 15 days starting from the day you register. The only downfall for me was that you have to place an order of  minimum of €25, which sucks because sometimes you just need one thing. Oh well, hopefully that will change. 

Speaking of the Alluring Aquatic Collection  by Mac Cosmetics... Here are the Alluring Aquatic Extra Dimention bronzers in Delphic and Aphrodite's Shell. I absolutely love the packaging. It looks like there are actual drops of water on the packaging and the ocean waves on the products itself. These bronzers are better suited for people with fair skin. I swatched it on the back of my hand and the colour did not show up on my skin. So I would not recommend these for people with a darker or deeper complexion. This will not show up on your skin ladies & gents. I was kinda dissapointed when I swatched these because I kind of expected these to be like the other Extra Dimention Bronzers from Mac, they had a slight shimmer. These don't have a shimmer at all, they're completely matte.  If it was up to me I would return them but since it's not possible to just go to the store to get a refund and I'm to lazy and impatient to send them back, I decided to keep them and put them in my pro make-up kit. 

These brushes are AH-MAZING!! *hear the angels sing* 

I got these brushes from ebay. It's a 10 piece kabuki make-up brush set from Jessup. This set includes 5 face brushes and 5 eyebrushes. These are super cheap. I got them for €12,90 (incl. shipping).  I never knew they existed untill my friend used it to apply blush on my face. They are so soft, I've had no shedding so far. They have these in all types of colours. You can also buy them on AliExpress. I've bought them there too in black and silver for my pro makeup kit. I'm awaiting their arrival. The shipping on ebay takes 10-20 business days. I received mine after 10 business days. So they get an A+ for shipping. The packaging was ok. You know those brown envelopes with bubble wrap. One thing I hate is that I absolutely can't desinfect my brushes with rubbing alcohol. I tend to spray a little on the bristles. I've never had a problem with doing that with my brushes untill now. The bristles on one of my eyebrushes turned light blue!!  Urghh!! Apparently these are dupes for the Sigma brushes. So loves, if anyone is looking for brushes that are great and super cheap. Here they are! 

I also got this Sleek face form contour kit in Dark on Ebay. I love this palette, it's highly pigmented. I personally dont really like to contour my nose i feel like it makes me look like a fox whenever I do it. lol . I do, however, like to contour my cheeks. The highlight is a champagne shimmery kinda colour while the bronzer is a gold/brown colour they apply very easily and smoothly. You get alot of colour by just using a little at a time. I got this for €15,37 (incl. shipping). 

The next two products are items that I have had my eyes on for a while. I've always had really dry cuticles especially when I had gel and acrylic nails. I finally decided that enough was enough and I went ahead and bought a cuticle oil made of almonds and a almond oil hand cream. They both smell soo sweeett! I've had them for a few days now and I can already tell a difference my cuticles are soft and moisturized. The cuticle oil has a thing to push back the cuticle before you apply the oil. This is what I do everytime they look or feel dry.

This is a red lipstain by Maybelline in Red Passion. I'm not really a fan of this product. 10 minutes after I had applied the product my lips felt dry. It started peeling & getting patchy and sticky aswell. I'm really dissapointed since I prefer the Super Stay 10 hour Stain Gloss by Maybelline. The gloss did it's job and it never came off even when I drank. I couldn't find it at my local beauty supply store. Bummed!!

This bag omg!! It was love at first sight! I first saw this bag on Shirley's website . This is called the ''crocodile pattern leather city bag with chain" . I'm in love with this bag it reminds me of a chanel bag. It was quite expensive, but I thought of this as an investment since it is real leather. It got it for €129. I still don't regret it till this day. It's a medium sized bag. I ordered it on the zara.com since they didn't have it in the store anymore. I chose to have it shipped to the store which was free. They said the bag would be delivered in 3 to 5 business days but it got delivered after 7. That's not too bad. I can't stop staring!! don't you think it's gorgeous?.

The Mrs Carter Show World Tour 2014

After missing last years concert I was superexcited when they announced that Queen B was coming back to Belgium this year. I was fortunate enough to be able to buy my ticket before they were being sold which was great since they sold out in 10 minutes!! I was so excited. I still can't believe I've seen her in real life. Beyoncé never dissapoints. Everytime she performs it's a full on show! She gives it her all! Loved it!

(Na het missen van het concert vorig jaar was ik heel blij dat er werd aangekondigd dat Beyoncé ook dit jaar weer een spetterende show ging geven in België. Dit jaar had ik geluk om mijn ticket te kopen voordat ze verkocht werden aan het publiek. Daar ben ik heel dankbaar voor aangezien ze na 10 minuten al uitverkocht waren!! Ik was echt zo excited. Ik kan nog altijd niet geloven dat ik haar echt heb gezien. Beyoncé stelt haar fans nooit teleur. Elke keer dat ze optreed gaat ze ervoor, het is altijd spectaculair. Ik heb er echt van genoten.)

My current wish list..

I've been seeing these slip-ons for a while now. These are are from Steve Madden but there are so many brands that make these kinds of shoes. These ones are like the classic slip-ons sold by Vans. It looks more expensive and luxurious because of the snakeskin that's been added to it. They're to die for but now that I'm trying to get my own I can't seem to find a store/website to by my own. (Gutted!!). I've been googling like crazy. I can't even find them ! If anyone knows where they sell them please holla at your girl!

( Ik ben al een lange tijd op zoek naar deze überschöne schoenen! Dit zijn de snakeskin slip-ons van Steve Madden. Ze lijken op de klassieke slip-ons van Vans maar lijken duurder en stralen meer luxe uit door het slangenpatroon dat hieraan toegevoegd werd. Ze zijn echt fantastisch! Gorgeous! Ik heb overal gezocht, google, ebay,.. maar ze zijn nergens te vinden. Weten jullie misschien waar ik ze verkocht worden? ) 

The second item on my wish list is this sweater by Chanel. It's called the Coco Chanel Homme + Femme Hockey Sweater. It has heavy duty zippers on the side to adjust the fit of the sweater which I absolutely love. It's cost about $150 (about €108 euros) which is not that bad at all for a Chanel sweater. This can be worn by both men and women. Can't wait to get mine.!

( De tweede item op mijn wish list is deze sweater van Coco Chanel. De naam van deze sweater is Coco Chanel Homme + Femme Hockey Sweater. Het heeft ritsen aan de zijkant zodat je t zelf kan aanpassen. De sweater kost ongeveer €108, wat niet duur is voor een trui van Chanel. Dit kan gedragen worden door mannen en vrouwen. Hopelijk heb ik snel de mijne! )

No Make Up for Women of deeper complexions in Belgian Department stores... (Rant)

Year after year I get so annoyed at the fact that there's still no make up being sold for women of colour in the Belgian department stores. People of all corners of the world have been emigrating to Belgium since the 70's. People are familiar with the darker skin tones so why not sell them in Kruidvat, Ici Paris XL, Inno, Di , etc.. The only way we can get our make up is by going to M.A.C. , Bobbi Brown or African beauty supply stores. There are only two Bobbi Brown stores in Belgium (Brussels & Antwerp) , only two M.A.C stores in the city I live in. These are the only places we can get our high end make up. Which I think is a shame. Whenever I go to London I have no problem buying things I need. I don't need my make up to be high end or anything as long as the quality is great I'm happy. I mean do they know how much money they would make if they sold make up for all skin tones? They forget that alot of the population in Belgium especially in Antwerp are foreigners.

Rihanna Hearts M.A.C. Holiday Collection 2013

After all the buzz around this collection I finally got my hands on these products! When I went to the nearest M.A.C. store almost everything was sold out! I bought one of the last bronzers and this brown/pinkish lipstick called "Bad Girl Riri" & offcourse "Riri Woo" was sold out!! Fortunately my co-worker told me to call the other M.A.C store where they still had a few lipsticks left & had it put aside for me! I convinced my boyfriend to go buy it for me hihi! Now I'm the proud owner of  "Bad Girl Riri" , "Riri Woo" & the "Love, Rihanna" bronzing powder.

Here are the swatches! Left: Bad Girl Riri , Right: Riri Woo.

Bad Girl Riri is more creamy and has more of a sheen to it than Riri Woo. Both lipsticks are very pigmented, easy to apply and don't make your lips feel dry. (Ps: they smell SOO GOOD!)

I would not recommend the bronzing powder to people with a darker skintone. I tried to make swatch for you guys but it didn't show on my skin. So I'm just going to use this for my clients with a lighter skintone since this is better suited for them.
